Faculty Artists: Hyejin Cho, piano

Pianist Hyejin Cho performs works by the most famous musical siblings, Fanny and Felix Mendelssohn. The program includes sonatas and character pieces for piano by both siblings, featuring the captivating Easter Sonata—a composition lost for 150 years and mistakenly attributed to Felix, until its rightful recognition as Fanny’s own creation in 2010. Hyejin Cho enjoys a flourishing performance career as a soloist and chamber musician, with concerts across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Her recent appearances include the Parma Recordings Live Stage, the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series, and the Wheaton College Artist Series. Her research projects were supported by the Missouri Arts Council, the Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship, and the University of Michigan Research Grant.
