Orchestral Olympics Children’s Concert

Dr. Benjamin Klemme and the Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra invite you and your students to join them for the Orchestral Olympics! Dr. Klemme will introduce your students to the instruments of the orchestra and explore melody, rhythm, tempo, and dynamics as the performers demonstrate their amazing musical agility. Experience the fun being together among the musicians, and enjoy exciting orchestral music that is certain to inspire your students’ imaginations. This 45 minute concert will include works such as John Williams Olympic Fanfare and Theme, Badelt Pirates of the Caribbean – The Curse of the Black Pearl, Shostakovich Symphony No. 5, and more! The concert will be presented in an interactive, theatrical format that invites students to engage with the music in aural, visual, and kinesthetic ways. Tickets are free with a service fee of $1 per ticket. If you have groups of 50 or more, we recommend giving us a call at (630) 752-5010.
