Faculty Artists: The Early Violinist, Lee Joiner

The Wheaton College Conservatory of Music presents a Faculty Artists concert featuring the Early Violinist: Lee Joiner and guests David Schrader, Morgan Little, Brian Torosian, and Paul Cline. The violin was from its inception an instrument providing music for dance and for elaborations on vocal music. Come hear lively dance tunes from France and England, divisions on Italian renaissance songs and John Dowland’s Lachramae, and an early German baroque sonata with the violin accompanied by harpsichord, viola da gamba, and guitar.
